LightMix and render elements
Preparing Corona LightMix and other render elements so they come out right on the farm.
Check LightMix before sending
- In Render Setup → Render Elements, check that the LightMix and LightSelect elements are added.
- Do a short local render (a few passes is enough).
- Switch to the LightMix tab in the VFB: the sliders should be there and change the image when you move them.
- No sliders means the lights aren't assigned to LightSelect groups. Run Corona's LightMix setup wizard and try again.
What the farm does with elements
- Even if the main switch in Render Elements is off, the farm turns it on so LightMix doesn't come out empty.
- Only enabled (Active ticked) elements are saved. If you don't want an element, untick it or delete it.
- Each element is delivered as a separate file. Turkish letters in the file name are simplified (e.g.
Güneş→gunes) and other special characters become underscores. - The beauty pass and all render elements come in the format you chose (JPG or PNG).
Downloading
Each element shows as its own card on the job page. Download them one by one or everything as one ZIP; LightMix elements also get their own ZIP.
"The render looks black"
With heavy scenes, Corona keeps the image black for a while before the first pass as it prepares the scene (geometry, displacement, caches). The live view may look stuck, but this stage is normal; give it a few minutes.
If some surfaces in the finished output are black or flat, it's usually a missing texture or material: take the warnings seriously when sending and clean the scene with FCA Cleaner. If the whole frame is black, open a support ticket with the job number.
