Account and credits

How credits are charged, credit packs, invoices and profile settings.

What is a credit?

1 credit is $1 and buys 1 hour of rendering. Short jobs are tiered (up to 10 minutes costs 0.25 credits). The priority queue is 1.5×. All tiers and the calculator: Pricing.

How are credits charged?

  1. One hour's cost is reserved when rendering starts.
  2. While the job renders, the cost is charged every few minutes. Only the time a machine actually renders counts; queueing, start-up and downloads don't.
  3. When the job ends the real cost is settled: any excess is refunded, any shortfall deducted.
If you run out of credits mid-render, your balance can go down to −3 credits, then the render is paused. After you top up and press Restart, the render starts over from the beginning, not where it stopped. Check your balance before long jobs.

A job's total cost is shown on its page; the line-by-line breakdown is in your credit history.

Topping up

Pick a pack on the Credits and billing page and pay by card (Stripe). Packs: $25 → 25 credits, $50 → 50, $100 → 105, $250 → 275, $500 → 550 credits. Credits never expire.

Welcome credits can only be used for rendering.

Invoices

Invoices for your payments are listed on the same page. Billing details come from what you enter on the Stripe checkout screen.

Profile

On the Profile page you can update your name, company, tax details, address, phone, interface language and password.
